Chief of Police calls you players in and informs them that unfortunately, due to the events of the last investigation they have been sectioned.
If they don't know what that is he explains that it refers to section 31 of the Freedom of Information Act, which is an exemption for stuff like this.
Chief explains he just needs them to sign this Section 31 form.
Unfortunately, he says he also doesn't like having sectioned officers around. Says their like a magnet for this sort of thing, and they want to keep the other officers from getting sectioned. All he can offer is a transfer to the Redw inood Precinct in Colorado. They've been in need of some sectioned officers for a while. All of them have just barely skirted getting section themselves several times, but the case backlog building up and they need some help.
The deal comes with a healthy resettlement compensation package. It's enough money to buy yourself a moderate home near the precinct, and handle moving expenses and such. And hey, cost of living is way cheaper down there, so it's like you'll be raise too!
He also if that's not what you want, well he can prepare the pink slips for a layoff by tomorrow.
Introduction to the Precinct
Officer Issac Dunwich greets them when they get to the precinct and start giving them the tour introducing them all.
- Officer Malcom Tate: Tates our newest rookie. He's always happy to lend a hand, but that dude is a magnet for weird shit.
- Officer Sonya Reeves: Reeves is Tate’s partner, she the one with the fur gloves on. Think she got frostbite or something and has to keep those on even in the summer.
- Officer Elijah Grant: Grant is the our resident grumpy old man. Been here longer than anyone, even the chief. Keeps saying he's going to retire, but everyday he's still here. If you catch him mumbling, just ignore it, he's pretty superstitious about a lot of things.
- Officer Janice Holloway: Janice here has the distinction of being our chief niece. Do not mention that around her. She's also super paranoid. Like takes random turns on her way home to avoid being followed kinda paranoid. I'd just steer clear for now if you can.
- Officer Tommy Langford: Langford is a solid cop, but that dude can't remember a damn thing. I heard once he forgot what his own handwriting looked like and thought someone else was writing all his reports. He started carrying a tape recorder around to help his memory after that, but someone always manages to get so much interference and static you can't make anything out.
- Custodian Charles Mosely: That there is Uncle Chuck. He keeps the place clean and running. Walks off. Thing is no one knows who hired him or when. Just showed up one day and started cleaning up. I don't even think he's on payroll.
- Sargent Dominic Kessler: Next we've got the Sargent. He's the one you'll likely be interacting with the most. He's always nitpicking the reports, and swears they keep going missing.
- Chief Grant Holloway: Finally we have the big man himself. Don't ask him about the lockbox he keeps behind his desk, and try to ignore the haunted look in his eyes and you should be fine. Good luck. Pushes you into his office
